ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME

YOUTH COMPETENCİES

Youth Exchange, Croația, 4-11 August 2020

More than 3.3 million young people (aged 15-26 years) were unemployed in 2019 in the EU. In 2018, more than 5.5 million young people (aged 15-26 years) were neither in employment nor in education or training (NEETs) in the EU. The need to improve the quality and relevance of the skills and competencies that young Europeans have has been recognized at both national and European levels. Key competencies contribute decisively to economic growth and employment and help European countries to keep pace with a constantly evolving demand for competencies.

YOUTH COMPETENCES is an international youth exchange focused on the development of the key competencies within the concept of non-formal education with the emphasis on the support of creativity, invention, entrepreneurship to achieve a better state in the labor market through the application of the learning outcomes of the international youth project and base for further personal development.

During 7 days, 35 youngsters from Romania, Croatia, Spain, Estonia, Nord Macedonia, Greece and Turkey had the opportunity to participate in a quality educational activity which offered the space to explore the creative approach of the labor market and entrepreneurship, their personal and professional development and so, to facilitate their future success for employability.

I had an amazing experience, made lots of friends, and totally developed my English level and my social skills. I am sure this will help me when I’ll go for my first job. Thanks for giving me the chance to participate!

After 4 months of quarantine and home isolation, this project came like a fresh breath… Great project, great people! During the project, I’ve developed my entrepreneurial competencies and I’ve learned about cultural differences.

One of the best experiences in my life! My favorite part was when we have visited Mali Technopolis Samobor and learned very interesting things about economic incubators, education and 3D technologies and innovation.
