Annual Report – 2024
2024 was a year of growth, achievement, and impactful contributions for ARYAS NGO. Through our coordinated projects, international collaborations, and local initiatives, we empowered young people, promoted sustainability, and fostered meaningful community engagement. This report highlights our key accomplishments, innovative programs, and the recognition we received for our efforts to create lasting change in youth work and environmental action.

Key Achievements and Recognitions
2024 marked a year of significant milestones and achievements for ARYAS. Our efforts and contributions in youth work and environmental sustainability were recognized both nationally and internationally:
EU101 Recognized as a Good Practice Example
Our project, EU101, was the only Romanian initiative selected as a Good Practice Example for European Youth Week. Highlighted on a prominent billboard in Brussels, the project showcased our impact on a European stage, proudly represented by one of our volunteers.
Expanding International Opportunities
We sent participants to 16 international projects, including 73 young people (44 with fewer opportunities) in youth exchanges and 17 youth workers in training programs, fostering cultural exchange and professional growth.
Environmental Actions
We planted over 100 trees and organized cleanup activities that removed two large truckloads of garbage, reflecting our commitment to environmental sustainability.
Participation in the RAY-LEARN Study
ARYAS NGO was selected as one of eight Romanian organizations to participate in the prestigious RAY-LEARN study. This two-year research project examines the methods and approaches used by youth organizations to generate learning and development.
Coordinated Projects and Key Contributions
In 2024, ARYAS NGO coordinated several impactful Erasmus+ projects and played a significant role as a partner in others. While we highlight the projects we coordinated or had a notable contribution to, our involvement extended across numerous KA1 initiatives, reflecting our dedication to empowering youth and fostering sustainability through collaboration and education.
SEED2STEM – Cooperation partnerships in youth
SEED2STEM, a 32-month Erasmus+ project that began in 2023, is set to conclude in 2025 and has made remarkable progress in 2024. The project bridges agriculture and STEM education to inspire innovation and sustainability. This year, significant milestones included testing the AGRO STEM curriculum and platform during an intensive learning mobility event. Participants gained practical experience in agricultural technologies and STEM concepts, empowering them to integrate sustainability into youth education. The project is already enhancing skills in sustainable development, fostering youth engagement, and creating impactful educational tools for the future.
Enviro-digital Youth Project – Small Scale Partnership in youth
Empowering Youth through Digital Skills and Environmental Awareness, a 24-month Erasmus+ Small-scale Partnership in Youth project, began in 2023 and is set to conclude in 2025. The project focuses on equipping young people with digital skills while fostering environmental consciousness. Significant progress was achieved in 2024, with workshops and community initiatives addressing local environmental challenges. Participants have enhanced their digital competencies and adopted proactive attitudes towards sustainability. The project is already making an impact by empowering youth to become informed, engaged citizens ready to contribute to a sustainable and digital future.
Greencademy – Small Scale Partnership in youth
Greencademy, currently under implementation and set to conclude in March 2025, has made significant progress in 2024. The project focuses on equipping young people with skills for the Green Transition, particularly in sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly practices. So far, participants have gained practical knowledge in regenerative farming, green entrepreneurship, and environmental stewardship. The initiative has fostered collaboration across partner countries in Germany, Poland and France, empowering youth to take active roles in promoting sustainability and addressing environmental challenges within their communities.
Adventure Hunters – Discover EU Inclusion
Adventure Hunters, part of the DiscoverEU Inclusion program, gave three young people with fewer opportunities and a leader the chance to travel across Europe for 20 days during the month of August. They planned their trip, visited cultural heritage sites in Spain and Italy, and engaged with local communities. The experience helped them develop independence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while promoting sustainable travel through a social media campaign.
Lost in Nature – Youth Exchange
Lost in Nature held at the end of August 2024, in Cicănești, Romania, providing participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, learn essential survival skills, and increase their environmental awareness. The project encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of sustainable living practices.
One with Nature – Youth Exchange
One with Nature took place in April – May, in in Căpățânenii Pământeni, Romania, bringing together young participants from seven countries to reconnect with the natural world. Through interactive workshops and outdoor activities, they explored critical environmental issues, developed ecological awareness, and fostered a deeper appreciation for sustainability and biodiversity.
Green Horizons – Training Course
Green Horizons was a training course held in March, in Side, Türkiye, focused on equipping youth workers with tools and knowledge to promote environmental sustainability. Participants from multiple countries joined workshops and collaborative activities, developing innovative project ideas for their communities. The project enhanced their skills in addressing environmental challenges and fostering sustainable practices.
