Change Up
Youth Exchange – Grudziądz, Poland
17/01/2022 – 26/01/2022
About the project
I think that the main goal of the project was to turn us, the young people, into better, more attentive, and more caring citizens. We have developed our communication, public speaking, and leadership skills and we have learned to empathize regardless of the situation and the people who surround us. Now, we are closer to being the ideal European citizen.
Activities & methods
The activities that we have participated in were based on methods of non-formal education. Our leadership, communication, public speaking, and all the other skills had all been gained through non-formal education methods. Every workshop helped us to create a strong and united group throughout the whole project. We had the chance to organize our own activities, collaborating with the facilitator and organizers. Every one of us had the chance to use our own creativity for the best of the project.
The outcome of the project
We have managed to accumulate useful information for everyday life and we have developed new skills that will help us throughout our lives. Human interaction is a basic principle in any society and we had the opportunity to learn about it in a friendly setting, accumulating a lot of information in a pleasant way.
We are sure of ourselves when we say that this Youth Exchange is a plus in everyone’s life and, at the same time, a memorable experience. Friendships have been created that will lead all our lives and will have a special place in our hearts forever.
Upon returning home, each of us was more than happy to share our knowledge with friends and colleagues and urge them to participate in such amazing projects.
We keep these memories in photographs…
Testimonials
The “Change Up” project was amazing, I learned a lot of new things about how to create a workshop, leadership, public speaking, and about other cultures and their countries. I can’t describe in words this project because it was wonderful, but I can say that I loved it and I enjoyed being part of this amazing experience. This project helped me to develop, become more confident, and not to be afraid of speaking in front of people anymore. After this project, I remained with a lot of amazing memories that keep crossing my mind and I hope I will never forget them, I created a lot of connections with new people and made new friendships that I hope will last forever. All in all, Erasmus+ projects are amazing, you can learn so many new things and have fun at the same time. I think that everyone should have the chance to be part of an Erasmus+ project because it can help you develop a lot.
Having the opportunity to participate in this Erasmus gave me a new perspective on how I should think about cooperation. Communication between our co-nationals and international friends it’s different, and not only that, keeping in mind one might have a different cultural background experience helps a lot. I found myself in an environment where I learned how to facilitate communication with different groups of people, how to approach problems and how to think outside the box when needed.
Every project has its own story and each story it’s special in its own way. This one was like a guitar song… played on a ukulele; harder to play at the beginning but maybe even better than on guitar at the end. There were 9 amazing days with over 50 amazing and talented people that will be forever in my heart with their vibes, personalities, and lifestyles. I guess “Polska” hits different for everyone but I can’t wait to go back there where I learned that the future is in our own hands!
The “Change Up” project helped me be more confident and speak in front of a group of people. I also learned a lot of things about different countries, from their problems to their cultures and I made a lot of friends and memories that I will never forget. Erasmus+ projects are wonderful experiences where you can learn and have fun at the same time. They will help you improve yourself, work in teams, create workshops about different topics and a lot of other things. Everyone should live this amazing experience at least once in life!
