One project, many stories
Who knew building soft skills would start with having an adventure in Croatia? Let us tell you about a group of young people who came together to improve their employability opportunities while having an incredible time surrounded by green hills and blue lakes.
Our journey started in Orahovica, a lovely town in the region of Slavonia, where 31 young people from 5 different countries (Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Romania and Spain) gathered to learn and exchange knowledge and experiences from each other from the 2nd to the 9th August. Through Euroactive Croatia, we had 6 full-packed days of fun and activities in an amazing accommodation: Merkur Red Cross (pool included!!).
Our adventure, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange aptly titled "Unlock Your Potential," began, both literally and metaphorically, with a storm that shook us from the very start. Through dynamic workshops we sharpened our soft skills in areas such as conflict management, non-verbal communication, negotiation, creativity, CV making, market scenarios...
And in the meantime, we had so much fun! Through sessions like a treasure hunt we learned about the town’s history and landmarks while getting immersed in the culture!
And who was expecting so many cool activities? The castle adventure and lake chill time couldn’t be beaten! Furthermore, organizing events such as Orahovision (12 points for Croatia!!!) and an Intercultural Night was a highlight!
Thanks to this youth exchange, we gained confidence in job seeking, picked up valuable skills for our future, and made some unforgettable friendships along the way!
If you're looking for a project that’s both meaningful and fun... what are you waiting for? Now it’s your turn: go pack your bags and say yes to the adventure! Euroactive Croatia is waiting for you!
