Frequently asked Questions
Here you will find the answers to frequently asked questions about participating in an Erasmus+ project.
Most of our activities fall under the Erasmus+ umbrella. We organize youth exchanges, youth participatory activities, professional activities, etc.
Youth Exchanges:
Youth exchanges under Erasmus+ provide opportunities for groups of young people from different countries to meet and live together for up to 21 days. During a youth exchange, you work jointly on a chosen topic through a mix of workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, simulations, outdoor activities, etc. These projects aim to empower and engage young people, enhance their skills, and foster active citizenship and mutual understanding.
Youth Participatory Activities:
Youth participatory activities are opportunities for young people to engage in decision-making processes, community activities, or projects. These activities promote active participation, democracy, and citizenship among young people. Participants may contribute to organizing events, participating in discussions and dialogues, influencing policy, volunteering, or working on community projects.
Training Courses:
Training courses under Erasmus+ provide an opportunity for participants to improve their skills and competencies for their personal, educational, and professional development. These courses often focus on themes related to youth work and non-formal education, and participants could be youth workers, leaders, trainers, or project managers. The activities in these courses can include workshops, exercises, lectures, discussions, simulations, practical training, and more. These courses can be both local and international, with participants from various countries.
We also run local or international projects that are not financed by Erasmus+; This usually makes them too unique to describe them here.
But remember, the specific details of each opportunity will be provided in the project calls, including eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application procedures.
Every project opportunity posted by us has its own eligibility criteria. Therefore, it is important that you check the specific criteria for the project you are interested in.
All the necessary steps for application are detailed in each specific call. However, the general procedure typically involves filling out a Google Form Application. As part of the selection process, you might also be contacted for an interview. Once all applications have been evaluated, you will receive an email notifying you of the results. If you have been selected, you will receive a contract that you must fill out, along with instructions for the next steps. If the call requires payment of any fees, the bank account details for the transfer will also be provided in the instructions.
Every project has its own deadline published in the call.
Usually, it takes about one week. However, this can be longer or shorter depending on the project. Be sure to check the call to see exactly what is the project evaluation timeline.
If selected to participate, the majority of primary expenses, such as travel, accommodation, and meals, are covered by the Erasmus+ program. However, participants must cover their travel costs in advance, and these costs will be reimbursed after the project concludes. ARYAS typically requests a contribution of 25 euro for the project to cover the expenses related to project preparation and to support young people with fewer opportunities who might require additional funds. Certainly, young people with fewer opportunities do not need to pay this contribution.
Yes, participation in the Erasmus+ program and many of our projects does not necessarily require enrollment in an educational institution. Again, please check the eligibility criteria specific to the project you are interested in.
Typically, English is the common language used in Erasmus+ projects, but the specific language requirements can vary depending on the project. Some projects might require or prefer participants to have a certain level of proficiency in the language of the host country. Always check the specific requirements in the project call.
Generally, it's possible to participate in more than one Erasmus+ project, as long as you can fulfill your commitments to all projects. Unfortunately, for now, you cannot be in two places in the same time, so be sure there are no overlapping activities?
Yes, participants are expected to actively engage in all activities of the project, contribute positively to the group dynamic, respect the rules and values of the Erasmus+ program, and, at times, contribute to the dissemination of project results. The specific commitments can vary by project, and you will find these in the project description.
The location of the project is usually set by the host organisation. When applying for an opportunity, the country (or countries) where the project will take place will be stated in the project call.
Participation in an Erasmus+ project can greatly enhance your academic or professional development. You can gain skills like project management, leadership, intercultural communication, problem-solving, and more. Additionally, the experience can expand your network, provide insights into different cultures and work practices, and enhance your CV.
Participation in every Erasmus+ project is officially recognized through a certificate, usually the Youthpass. The Youthpass includes details about the project you participated in, the dates of participation, the hosting organization, and a description of the activities you were involved in. It also allows you to describe the skills and competences you believe you have acquired or improved during your project.
For any further questions or assistance with your application, you can reach out to our team at contact@aryas.ro or you can reach us through our general contact channels.
